Bathroom budget breakdown

This is one of 124 blog posts published between 2018 and 2021 for the Collected Eclectic blog.

We had it in the back of our minds that renovating the second bathroom in 2020 was a possibility.

Once it got rolling we had to decide quickly on how much we wanted to spend, and what the priorities were. As with most of our project in this house, that meant adding functional storage space.

Ikea Vanity + Base Cabinets – $728

Tipyou can mix and match Godmorgan, Sektion, and Pax to fit your space and the function you want. They all offer slightly different storage solutions, but are pretty much identical to work with and put together.

Cabinet Fronts – $3,158 ($2,808 sponsored)

We were thrilled to work with The Cabinet Face on this project. We went with Cherry Wood Natural Slab for the vanity, and Matte Acrylic in Pebble for the linen closet.

Custom Cut Glass – $335

Two of the doors for our linen closet were constructed to receive glass panes, and we went with a narrow reeded glass – WG136 from Wholesale Glass & Supply.

Emtek Hardware – $100

This matches our kitchen hardware and we added a vintage-y latch pull on the linen closet doors.

Trim, Wainscoting, and Paint – $200

Total Cost: $4,521 (Our Cost + Sponsor Contribution)

Our Total Cost: $1,713
