Free digital downloads: Vintage cityscape artwork

I always recommend looking to a location If you’re struggling to find artwork that you feel connected to.

This collection is a group of cities (and old cities that look more like small towns) that I hope strike a chord with someone. Several of these paintings bring up fond memories of vacations and life in the city for me.

I found all of these images by searching Creative Commons for “Public Domain Artworks”, browse the Met for “Open Access”, the National Gallery of Art, Indianapolis Museum of Art  and The Rijks Museum. They are all high resolution and completely free to use.
