Fall bedroom refresh with Brooklinen

This is one of 124 blog posts published between 2018 and 2021 for the Collected Eclectic blog.

I’m not much of a seasonal decorator, but I do always swap out my bedding for the seasons.

In the spring and summer I opt for percale sheets and a lightweight comforter with a linen duvet. In the fall and winter I switch to cozier soft sheets with a heavier weight comforter. This fall I also added some darker colors for the perfect cozy space to hunker down with!

I updated my bed with luxurious and surprisingly affordable Brooklinen bedding. Brooklinen makes it easy to mix and match their bedding with timeless colors and simple patterns. I put together some of my favorite bedding combos that will get any bed ready for the season.

This simple option (the one pictured on my bed!) is the most simple pillow combination to pull off. I use one king sized pillow under a standard pillow for an effortless layered look that doesn’t result in a handful of pillows on the floor every night. It’s an un-fussy combo that is just as easy to make as it is to snuggle up with. Plus, the darker colors for the cooler months feels like a cozy change from my summer whites.

This pillow combination is a little more intricate with 2 king sized pillows under a 20”x20” throw pillow. I love the ease (and affordability!) of updating a space by simply swapping out a throw pillow cover. The colors in this set are a lovely mix of warm creams and cool chambray for the perfect Autumn vibes.

The green in this one transitions to Christmas nicely and is delightfully soft and neutral. Of all the pillow combos I’ve had, this is the most complicated with 2 king sized pillows behind a row of 3 20”x20” pillows and a 14”x 36” pillow in the front to seal the deal. It’s not practical, but it just might be the right amount of fluff to get you through the long winter months.

I guarantee that you’ll be satisfied no matter which set of Brooklinen bedding you end up with. Quality bedding without luxury markups is hard to come by, but look no further! We actually love our bedding so much that there’s a good chance I’ll be packing this bedding with us when we travel for the Holidays this year.
