Our basic to bold bathroom makeover

This is one of 124 blog posts published between 2018 and 2021 for the Collected Eclectic blog.

This bathroom has always been a challenge for me to decorate.

I had a feature wall with peel and stick wallpaper from Loomwell up for about a year before finally deciding that I needed to go all in with the wallpaper.

Maybe it’s quarantine and the fact that I haven’t left the house for 8 weeks, but a bold bathroom makeover with this Samara Green Monstera wallpaper from A-Street Prints felt like the perfect solution to make up for all of our cancelled plans.

I polled my instagram followers about whether or not I should wallpaper the shelves. The popular vote was to leave them white, but I went with my gut and did it anyway. I’m so glad I did because it’s my favorite part of the room!

Aside from the wallpaper, the only other thing we changed in here was the mirror. There was nothing wrong with the mirror we had, but I wanted something a little more stylish. A mirror is such a simple update to add style and make a bathroom feel more intentional.

The paint color I chose when we did an inexpensive vanity makeover just happened to match the wallpaper so well!

I have yet to find the perfect piece of artwork for above the toilet, but I’m loving the view with just the wallpaper for now!

This wild wallpaper was a big leap out of my comfort zone, but I’m so glad I gave it a try! I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my little at-home getaway!

What do you think?! Would you do bold wallpaper like this in a bathroom? I honestly didn’t think I could pull it off, but I really do love how it turned out!
