La Ola brings a vibrant take on modern coastal Mexican cuisine to Los Angeles, pairing bold, fresh flavors with a sun-soaked poolside setting. Inspired by the restaurant’s name—“The Wave”—and the colorful mural by artist Abel Macias within the space, Studio van M developed a playful visual identity rooted in the spirit of the California coast.
The identity includes a custom logo, a set of icons representing the wave, sun and spirits, and an accompanying pattern system carried throughout menus and branded collateral.
